    You could be right, but I've heard both ways from brokers. Many of them are saying it's just the holidays too. We'll have to get through the 1st Q before we can really get some clarity.

    I put a massive offer on a Coyote load for tomorrow. If they accept it great, otherwise I'm more than happy to stay home.

    I saw many many $3- $4+ a mile out of Florda, Colorado and the NORTHEAST today.
    I have never seen that before.

    All brokers telling me it's elogs.

    I booked my truck out of Florida on a solo load to Ohio for $3 a mile, could have done a lot better but needed to get my driver home.

    Which means you could have probably pushed them to $2100, and they still would have made money on the load.

    Got a broker I get outbound loads from wanting to lean on me more to haul his loads. Rarely posts anything on the load board, only when they can't cover the freight with their regular trucks. Basically said he lost some drivers to early retirement thanks to the ELD mandate.

    The ELD mandate is a mess for the entire transportation industry.

    That's awesome. Keep in mind too a ton of trucks are still home for the holidays. Capacity should ramp up pretty good after the 1st...

    I work pretty hard all year, until Thanksgiving starts getting close, then until Christmas starts getting close. Mid november to January 1 is my laziest time of the year. I won't leave from home if I am there a couple days before the holiday, no matter how tempting it looks. I also won't get too far away from home as the holidays approach.

    Favors? I quit doing those in this industry about a week after I got into the industry, LOL.

    Not really a big surprise. 90% of the industry is folks that own less than 10 trucks. It's why 74% of the industry still wasn't on elogs just a few months ago.

    We shall see.
    Brokers over and over again are telling me the elogs are causing many late trucks and less truck availability, to the point it's a grossly noticeable difference.
    Also been hearing some of the brokers say their "normal drivers" can no longer cover the same loads on time. 1 day runs are now becoming two.
