Just imagine what the last week of March and first week of april will be like. The dot doesn't even begin enforcing the elog mandat till april 1st.

You are missing the point. these guys, like me, are consistently getting 2 to 2.50 a mile all year long, with the occasional surge periods of 4+ a mile.

Exactly what Spyder just said. No one said this is consistent. You stated people are exaggerating. They are not. Freight is through the roof right now. I just turned down $2300 on 411 miles, 12k lbs because I have prior commitments that will keep me from running right now. Oh, and that's after Mercer gets their cut. These loads usually pay really well but not quite this good. Normally this load would pay $1300.

I was inspected for an ELD already. They wanted to see it hook it and they truck and all.

Now is fines, April is when they will put you out of service.

Most states aren't even writing fines for it right now.

Maybe not, I don't know. But I have seen an increase in the number of older trucks getting stopped for roadside inspections the last couple weeks.

It's funny to me. On the Schneider thread people talk about rates and how they should be running there truck. On the Mercer thread they talking about fixing trucks.

Actually guys come to FW's thread to talk about rates & what's going on in the industry. He's not at Schneider anymore so it's not really a Schneider thread now. Guess go to the Mercer thread to get advice about fixing trucks cause there's a lot of knowledge there. No need to discuss rates on that thread cause we already know. Lol

I guess I will quit commenting on this thread. Due to lack of knowledge.
