I don't think its a good deal even for someone with a paid off truck anymore. If they were actually giving us 65%, maybe, but 65% of 75% just doesn't cut it.

It's really not lol.. The only perk that had me was the fact I was home on the weekends and a day or two during the week other than it wasn't good anymore. Yea I was able to pay off my truck but eh

Yeah I used to be able to book through the house almost every night and still make a decent settlement, not great, but not bad.

With the amount of so called ICs or BOs or what the #### ever SNI wants to call it trying to run the same loads, and with the way they have changed PU and DEL times, its just not doable anymore. And if I'm going to be out for more than 4 or 5 days, $4k - $4.5k a week just isn't worth it.

Being able to get home a lot with Schneider is the the MOST overrated aspect of the program.
If you put yourself in the open market there's endless loads always going in nearly all directions and the loads pay 2-3x more minimum.
It's easy to get $2 out of even FL, CO and Northeast now, $3+ isnt that difficult out there either. I got $3 a mile from FL to Ohio last week.

Schneider is still paying .90 a mile out of those markets I bet.

When you rely on a carrier for your freight they have you by the you know what.

Let's no exaggerate.. You're not getting 2 and 3 a mile out of Florida weekly or even monthly. Let's put things into perspective now let's not get too carried away

I am out here and have the rate cons, So no so called "exaggerating".
Did $7200 from FL to CA recently as well.
Sure it might change but I don't see it happening anytime soon thanks to elogs.

A paid off truck should never factor into the equation. If a guy can't make it with a new truck payment then its a bad carrier to lease to.

    For now.

You haven't been around when freight was weak. Wait till the best you can get just about anywhere is $1.50, and then you're stuck with $0.70 to get anywhere after that. And its either take it or sit for days on end just to maybe get an extra $0.10. I hope we never see it that bad again, but you don't know when the market will swing back or how far.
