So your requirement is higher than his but that's no reason to discount or even act as if your way is the only way.
Some people have different priorities than me you or even him.
I understand what your saying that that's not the best rate or even close but some drivers value keeping moving over sitting.
I think you do a good job with how you run but I also think you're quick to judge someone else's success based on your business model and requirements.

Some times things happen that's beyond our control and sometimes we screw up.
The key to success is to define what is successful to you and then work the definition so it benefits tou.
I'm always making mistakes but also making better decisions because of those mistakes.
I wish everyone success whatever your definition may be.Dinomite, drvrtech77 and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
Do you agree or disagree?
I replied on the topic of a driver quitting saying he couldn't make money as an example I ran across of well low money thinking...
Think we both know here that failing or doing well IS indeed up to the drivers business model and requirements.
Now sure it might not be everybody's goal to simply make the most money possible for a better lifestyle. I'm thinking of actually changing the way I operate to be able to see my house more often than every couple months lol -
I agree it's not good money however in his mind it is.
I am just pointing out you're one of the smarter ones who is worried about the rates he may have been worried about the stress levels or even home time.
It's just not for me to judge someones success based on my definition.
But then again I'd rather be home more than run for 2.oo a mile all miles.
It's about individual requirements and averages.nel4you, Dinomite and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
When people bring up failing drivers and drivers saying they can't make any money.. I'm simply showing an example I came across as to how that can come to be.TennMan Thanks this. -
For all you , he is still in his learning curve. Opinions can change as well asknowledge based on exerience. He was willing to take something getting him into a better area (presumably] at a day and a third running light ( less fuel).
Any money is good if earned legally. Smart business model? Maybe not. If his payments are made, taxes allowed for and he's happy , who is anyone to tell him he is wrong?
A helpful someone might have shared another opinion and experience with him to show how he could do better for himself. But theres no one like that here.Last edited: Aug 14, 2015

Reminds me of the Jack in the Box commercial.
Bean counter: Jack, you're losing $0.25 on every burger. How are you going to make money?
Jack: Volume!

And I usually can...
But as has been stated many many many many times, results may vary....
Everybody's different, and everyone's definition of their business model is different...
And if you're happy, then what does it matter what someone else is doing? And if you're happy then why do you care what other people say about the way you run your business?
I sure don't...
Roll on....Home_on_wheels, PoleCrusher, Dinomite and 2 others Thank this. -
