Talked to a driver in the Crete New Kingstown lounge last week. He'd only been with Crete a month. He was saying how he did the 1 year Choice. CLAIMING he was there when the diesel prices were real high. CLAIMING on a 5K week, yes he said 5K, that he'd only net $300. CLAIMING that the whole $5K was taxed. I just had to ask where he ran. Oh, he stayed South. Usually long cross country runs. Georgia, Alabama, and Carolinas to Phoenix or LA and back. Of course swearing there was no way to make money on Choice.

 

No thought needed... Red velvet cheesecake should be an easy choice for choosing the factory...

No brainer... Cant say in my years OTR that I was ever so close to one... Im from Chicago so Olive garden is the Mc'Ds of Italian... I'll pass

 

The 5k is taxed then you apply your deductions so only profit is actually taxed as taxabe income.

 

Man that guy was CLEARING 300.00? With 5k gross?? Im clearing 150.00-200.00 max most weeks, but i love them coast to coast runs and visiting florida! Choice is awesome

 

The dude seemed to be exaggerating on everything. Was diesel really $4.50 per gallon a few years ago?

 

The more drivers you speak to, to more nonsense you hear. Very confident, but don't have a clue. " made 5,000 but it's all taxed? That's why he's no longer an owner operator.
