The problem I see with Schneider is you have to take Freight off of their load board where they have done took their cut out of that also. They make money on every little angle then you are lucky if you ever get a dollar fifty a mile no thanks. If you cannot negotiate your own rate for a load you are losing simple as that.

 

And sometimes you just have to say, no.
I had a guy in Birmingham that wanted me to blind side in off of a street and there was no way that my 53 foot trailer and conventional cab with a sleeper was going to fit, and I wasn't going to try.
"But the other guys do it all the time. "
Meaning the day cabs with 28 foot trailers... and trying to embarras me into trying .
"I'm sure they do, but I don't. Find another dock, or unload it in the street; your call."
He found another dock. Like I said, sometimes you just have to say no.
