Like to know how you go from grossing $30k (or whatever that large number was) in the week after Christmas to losing the truck in Feb/March...

 

If that's the truth, he needs to call his mother and let her know he's ok. What number did he contact you from?

Inquiring minds would like to know. Unless he borrowed money from some nice Italian gentleman and stopped paying.

 

If I had people from the truckers report showing up at my mom's front door I'd disappear from here too. Kind of creepy actually. I told him multiple times that he puts way too much information on these forums. Maybe he finally wised up and cut the cord.

 

He had two trucks but was only running one. That will cut into a company's margin in a hurry.

January (I think, could have dates wrong) his co driver hit a deer, doing 17k in damage - allegedly. Did insurance not cover it? Even if insurance pays out, does it happen in a timely manner? Did his insurer drop him?

Profitable small businesses can quickly become insolvent. An unexpected tax bill or expense can be devestating to a company that is doing everything correctly and well.
