I've been reading quite a bit on this thread and others about the IC program with sni. I'm currently renting a truck through Prime, and it looks like sni might be a bit more profitable for me, and would certainly have more freedom in that I'd be booking my own loads. One question I have though is that it looks like the best freight lanes tend to be in the Northeast and Northern Midwest. I live in Oklahoma City, and while I know there are always plenty of trucks passing through, I'm wondering if sni has decent freight in my area. I get the feeling that sni ICs tend to do best running regionally, but is there decent freight in the South Central and Southeast regions?

Oklahoma city is good inbound and not awful outbound.
The regions you're looking at has decent freight and you'll do fine.
Your best bet is inbound to Dallas, then to Oklahoma City.
Just don't do outbound from Dallas to almost any other place than Oklahoma.
There's no need to run the northeast unless you live there.
    Good luck

Is the lease purchase deal from sfi pretty much the same as it was in 2015-2016 when this thread started? It seems to be a pretty decent way to buy a new truck for someone who doesn't have years of well established business credit. If it's $860/week for 3 years and a $7k down payment, that's not bad at all for a new KW. Is there a balloon payment?

You'll need to look at Schneiders website.
    And its roughly $1200 a week....all in.

How much of a balloon payment? Can you voluntarily pay more weekly in order to eliminate the balloon payment?

You would be better off considering it as rental on a revenue producing piece of equipment rather than buying.
But, of course, they'll be happy to sell it to you
