Indeed. No one ever figures in the finance charges.
    What's $160k at 15.8% (Damlier Finance) for 60 months?

    JOHNQPUBLIC and drvrtech77 Thank this.

15.8%? I've never seen an interest rate that high. Most I've seen are in the 10%-12% range

If you qualify with a near perfect credit score.

I'm not good at percentages so this is probably wrong.

    160k x 15.8% = 25,280
    25,280 x 5 yrs = 126,400
    126,400 + 160,000 = 286,400

That is very wrong. You pay interest on the principle of the loan which goes down with each payment.

And 15% is ridiculous. That's used truck interest for loan applicants deemed high risk.

Last new truck i bought was at 6%.

That's what I was thinking. I've never purchased a truck, so I know it would probably be more than 6% for me. That said, I can't see any circumstances under which I'd sign on for a 15% interest rate. That's like buying a truck on a credit card.

    $211,582 @ 8% over 6 years with 6% sales tax.

There's a thing called Google. You can ask it any question, and it will give you the answer.
You guys should look into it.

And the 15.8 was indeed a used truck quote from Damlier.
I went local and got 5.8.

BUT, you'd better have experience, a very good credit rating, and a history of paying off commercial vehicles.
Otherwise, you'll pay much, much more

Which brings us back to the original point. By my figures, $190k looks real good.
