I hear you on needing a scenery change, but the northeast is a totally different beast. EVERYONE is seemingly fue in surgery and scrubbed up in the car to save time. A trip to McDonald's is def-con 3. The patience level is NEVER high, but people ease up juuuuuust a hair around Christmas.

    freightwipper Thanks this.

yeah but it did give me time to snipe the load board and catch something hot. So I don't feel that bad... but the delay pushed me to having to go through Philadelphia tomorrow around rush hour sooooo  yeah.
You earn your money working around here...

Yeah we are definitely earning every penny. Especially with all the construction in WI, IL, and IN..........oh and OH.

Good god the construction delays alone are costing me some serious time. And time is money doing this.

My navigation has live traffic updates. Saved my rear end a lot... when I get alerted while driving I find the next place to pull off so I can whip out a map and reroute myself.
Just today there was an accident by Shartlesville, PA.. showed adding an extra 2 hours on my trip.
If I would have went further into that my 14 would be burnt out sitting in that mess.
Something to maybe look into. I'd recommend that to anybody.
It's not fun losing hours upon hours and loads due to things you could try avoid.

Never realized lumpers and long unload times were exclusive the the Northeast.

    I'm constantly learning.

It's not but for some reason that crap only happens to me over here.
On the bright side I haven't ran into POS trailer tandem issues in a long time... feeling happy about that.

I have live traffic also. Some times it helps and some times it doesn't. The constructions in Chicagoland is not avoidable, to my knowledge anyway.
