Being assigned loads into ice storms and blizzards because "the load must be covered" still takes the cake though. -
I'm still having trouble finding a great trucking company to start with. I don't want to start with these bottom feeder companies.

Lightside, unfortunately you have to start somewhere, and very few operations will hire a student driver. Did you check out Crete Carrier? They gave me an awesome start.

Things suck in the beginning, especially if you need company sponsored training but it's only temporary.
Gaining experience and being safe is what's what important in the beginning.. once you have that then you've got more power.exracer941, Lightside, Home_on_wheels and 3 others Thank this. -
