They have those every year, i used to run a dedicated reefer account for walmart, You would not believe how many truck loads of nothing but turkeys, pie shells and cool whip get received from Nov-Dec.

After reading through tons of different IC threads I must admit that I am very interested in pursuing this. But, I'd like to know how you guys are doing now with the new business of MT trailer moves. It is greatly affecting your bottom line? Are you still doing well and being profitable?

I've done exactly ZERO MT trailers moves this week and I'm about start my 7th load for the week.
All loads were less than 100 miles deadhead though.

Things are more difficult now but not because of MTs, less loads and lower rates overall but that's everywhere it seems lately.

    Alatorian Thanks this.

Are you still staying profitable? I calculated my break even point at $307 a day in revenue plus 0.357 cpm, do you think that is easily obtainable? Would you still recommend choice to newcomers?

Me? Yes but it's more work and I don't mean driving lol.
More Northeast and more having to stop and check the load board cause anything half decent goes in 2 seconds or less.

As far as what's obtainable well there's endless variables.
For example Tues, Weds, Thurs I was lucky and had me on track to have my best week ever.
Now the load board died and I still don't have anything booked for tomorrow. Not cause there's no loads but there's only cheap crap at least in my opinion.

Hopefully something decent pops up...if freight there runs anything like my company, if you don't have a load by noon Friday, outside of picking up a relay chances are you'll be sitting for the weekend.

I'm near Harrisburg, just came back from New York.
Usually there's always loads around here even on weekends. Barely anything now, only trash.

Bare in mind I'm out 7 days and don't at least clear $2000 after expenses that's an utter failure of a week for me.
    My goal is $2500+
I'm not cool with just making a small profit.

    mxpx148 Thanks this.
