Yeah, that was pretty much the corridor the recruiter was talking about. Thanks for the info.

I'm on the load board looking at the next three days out.
ALL loads from WA to CA pay less than $1
From OR to CA the highest is see is $1.12
other lanes range:
CA to WA $1.60-$1.80
CA to OR $1.65-$1.85
AZ to CA $.90 to $1.20
CA to AZ $1.55 to $2.20
CA to UT $1.70-$1.80
UT to CA $0.80 to $1.10
UT to OR $1.30 to $1.58
UT to WA $1.50 to $1.68
pretty much nothing going from OR and WA to UT
Loads out of WA and OR really suck
If I wanted to get the most of the the region solely based on the numbers I'm seeing I'd probably run the CA to AZ lane. Can maybe squeeze out $1.40-$1.50 all miles.
There's no way you can average $1.50-$1.85 all miles out there based on what I'm looking out right now.
You wanna have a shot at averaging $1.80+ all miles? Midwest and Northeast is the place to be.
It will not be done out west, not even close from what I'm seeing.
Hope this helps.Last edited: Jun 16, 2015

I don't see how you could only be doing that leasing with Prime UNLESS Prime is sticking you with cheap freight lol.
Anyway even though rates suck out west lets say you work 5 days a week 500 miles a day at $1.35 all miles.
$3375 in revenue on 2500 miles. $1,100 in fixed costs leaves you around $1,300-$1,400 after fuel costs.
Based on the loads on the board that's realistic numbers not Schneider recruiter numbers.
It's BS they say loads out west are similar to out east lol oh man.
Generally all loads to CA pay $1 or less
So you better get as much as you can leaving CA.Dominick253, nel4you and redoctober83 Thank this. -

@Fr8whipper...I live in Richmond, VA. Seriously considering Shneider choice board. As it is summer, I'll go to the northeast, but when it starts getting wintery, I plan on staying south of Maryland and in the southeast and southwest. I don't have wife/girl or kids so that simplifies things since I want to be out at least 3 weeks. My goal is to gross $5000-$6000/week. Am I having delusions of grandeur? If this is possible to accomplish, any recommendations on the approximate lanes to run to achieve such a goal? Thanx in advance...Moneyleg.

I've yet to reach a $6000 but have reached a couple $5000 weeks.
However I drive less miles at a higher rate and do more loads.
Just to give an example last week my revenue was $4,406.69
I worked 7 days BUT it was really just 6 days because I lost a day on a multistop load because Schneider screwed up an appointment.
However I drove just about exactly 2200 miles so that's a little over $2 all miles.
I even went out of route a few times as well.
So after costs I'll see around $2500-$2600 for last week and that's even with losing a day of work.Dominick253 and Moneyleg Thank this. -

No matter how you run in the Southeast or southwest in the winter or summer you can't earn this much regularly.Dominick253, T_TRUCKER. and freightwipper Thank this.
