    Sorry captain Dave didn't mean to ruffle your feathers buddy...... Who wants to be home everyday? ME, this guy with 3 kids and a wife..new into trucking and se to be alot of freight around my area so I was curious if being an oo was possible for my situation

    look into schneider's intermodal division out of chambersburg, half hour or so from carlisle. you will make good money there, even more if you're willing to run night shift.

    I actually live in Chambersburg but Schneider won't hire me until 2017 because I've had 2 driving under suspension in 2007 so II have to wait for at least one of them to drop off my record..... I'm OK where I'm at right now but just looking at my options and want to get on with the best gig I can as soon as I can for the area I live in

    You are in a great area indeed.
    While yeah the Carlisle area has loads pretty much going in all directions the trick would be finding a load to bring you right back.
    If home nightly is your number one priority this is not the job for you.
    If I were you I'd go LTL man!

    ABF takes noobs and gives them local jobs right there

    I work nights now so that's no biggie, ill make around 55 a year where I'm at now but every load is tarped x2......I don't mind the work but now that the cold is here this #### sucks lol but I can deal with it

    No ruffle here....all good. I appreciate you wanting to be home etc. I am just saying the IC gig isnt really setup for that. I think where you live you could be home often maybe even every other night. LTL you could make a ton...it may take a few years to get a sweet day shift..
