lol, I hate when they try those games.
Thankfully it's been months since something like that happened to me.
If it's in route and I have extra time I will play along and get the extra $15 or whatever it is but I always refuse if they ever try to send me out of route.
That's just taking advantage of an IC to lose money in fuel going in the wrong direction, along with burning your drive hours which basically means losing even more money.
That's the equivalent of me paying to do free labor for Schneider.
If they need an MT someplace else they can put a trailer move on the load board or tell a company driver to do it lol.

Funny I had dropped a load about 40 miles from home. Night shift tried to get to take an empty somewhere..I said no I'm less than 100 miles from home. Nightshift guy says you have.. I said I don't have to do nothing I know the rules. He continued to say well this time you have to.. I said firmly no I'm not and per the contract I don't have to... Lol they took it off and that was that... Once you've read the contract and know what u can or can't do its smooth sailing.. Well for me anyway

Thats so sad its funnyfreightwipper Thanks this.

Sad part is that's what most companies count on is Driver not reading or understanding the contract. How many of you actually even read the bill of lading before you sign it while you're at the shipper? Some of the information in there can require you to do stuff and they didn't even tell you. Just so many people jump into this and don't read and reread and read again the contract before they sign it.duddie and freightwipper Thank this.

You are just asking the "wrong" way. We cant tell you price per mile on this site Schneider would have a fit. Where do you live? Whats your experience level? There are lanes that are better than others. Expect to get sent to Lake Park GA, for you empty there will be crap for loads coming out of there. It pays for your fuel...period. I have been an IC for almost 4 months all good. I live in Denver NOT GOOD.... I often just fly home its cheaper. There are some great IC's out here that have tons of knowledge read there posts. You can do fine if you apply yourself its NOT free money and every day of every week you will think about the truck and revenues....goal is to pay it off. Take care of the truck it will take care of you.

Is that 5700 Western Star a IC truck or company? If its IC isnt that a premium truck so it should be loaded with goodies...
