While there is less freight right now due to the economy, there still is displayed on the board and places... I'm still making my good money frankly that's all that matters to me

I am in the process of trying to get on the choice program and lease a truck. I put in my app on the 2nd, got a call on the 8th, then filled out the authorization forms on the 8th, got an email that Schneider finance did a credit check on me. Can anyone tell me how long could I plan on waiting to hear something else back from them? Also is it a good thing that Schneider Finance ran the credit check on me?

Depends on whether or not they have room for another Contractor.
It's basically standing room only now..when a slot opens up they will be in touch.
    Patience will serve you well..

Remember, you are dealing with 2 entities, Schneider Financial, who handles the truck, and Schneider National, who handles the Choice program. I got accepted into the Choice Program very quickly. It has taken a couple weeks to get everything line out on the truck (my rep takes a lot of days off...of course, recruiter only works 3 days in office so may just be odd scheds all around). That being said, I did get everything set up and finalized today and start on March 7 in Green Bay. I could go now but I'm giving current company adequate notice.

So yeah, it takes time. I had even made a post a bit farther down with similar questions, so I'm proof they are still hiring, they just take their sweet tome about it lol.

While I did enjoy an 800 mile load going out into the middle of nowhere in Kansas it was not the brightest financial move even though the load itself paid better than any 800+ load in the country.
Had my fun now back to same old areas. Starting Sunday I've got 7 loads in a row all under 180 miles :biggrin_25524:

Hear you on that. I wanted to go south until this next crap weather system passes but nope rates too low for me.
Will hit some snow but am avoiding the bad parts.
