Could you imagine doing multiple loads a day just to pull off $1.25?
If things ever got that bad I'd turn in my truck and go back to being a company driver.
As terrible as that sounds thats about right for mileage programs.
As i said eariler Schenider tanker side is currently at $1.27 paid miles... which is probably around $1.20 actual miles knowing Schneider all for the joy of all the BS that comes with tanker.
No wonder a bunch of tanker guys have jumped ship (or jumped tank lol) and joined choice.

If Schneider is all about safety they would do that.
Plus it would create an equal playing field.

There's that "equal playing field " again. It's do unto others before they do it to you first. LOL!!!

I don't really mind, in fact I find my days go faster vs just endlessly driving 10 hours.
Plus if I make my money on 300 miles for the day that's less wear on this truck. Also being I stay out weeks at a time I don't have to worry about my 70 running low being I spend soo much time BSing around with customers and in docks. Works for me

Paid deadhead is a term for those on mileage.
On % I'll deadhead where ever if the load price is right.

Trucking itself is cut throat.. As much as the gov is trying to regulate things this is a eat or get ate industry... The fact the guys have wives or business partners that book loads for them on the go shouldn't bother you... If sni only allowed booking loads when not on line 3 they would lose 80% of their IC drivers..
