You most likely wouldn't like WV sr61 between Deep Water and Oak Hill.

Took that many, many years ago and swore I'd never do that again. Old age sucks. Saw it on the map a couple of years ago and it looked good. First turn, "oh shht, not this road!" Too late to turn back. Swore the whole way I would never take this road again.

Google street view of the first hairpin out of DeepWater gives you a good idea of what to expect across the road.

Oh, and pretty sure the RM Motor Carrier Atlas is wrong, its no truck route.

Northeast regional is not close to what it use to be. ICs flooded this market.
I think i can do better in the midwest overall now.

Lots of trucks will be headed back north now that the weather is warming up. Midwest is always good to me, but expecting capacity to ramp up here in the next few weeks.

From what I've read most loads inside the black hole as whipper would call it are in the 2 dollar plus area. When the weather warms up do these rates stay consistent with the freight or lower as there are more trucks?

Well today has been a great day. Kicked off my load this am...figured I would get a quick PM at Speedco Denver, you take good care of this truck, changed all filters and I go to leave and the truck says "water in fuel"...the truck would run about a minute and shut down. Von the GM at Speedco was excellent, changed all the filters again same out come...bottom line is somewhere they think I have a small leak allowing air in the fuel system. Truck is currently at Detroit Diesel (Stewarts)....I pray they can fix it. At least I was planning on being home till Sunday.
Oh yes Speedco is paying for it at this point. Hope you all had a better day....

Theres lots of contract freight here, a lot of loads i do the rate hasnt changed besides fsc since ive been here.
The problem isnt the rates its there's a lot less loads to pick from.

The whole $2 plus for the Northeast is BS.
If you go into New England you will eat dirt coming out.

Only reason i came here was for one super high $ load i got lucky with.
