After reading this thread... I bet my next 3 trailers are going to be crap. 5 yrs here and I only had 2 trailers with flats. Maybe im lucky.

 

Practically every time I picked up a trailer at General Mills in Cedar Rapids IA there's been something wrong with a preloaded trailer. Flat tires, broken air lines, bald tires, multiple light out etc etc. At least 4 or 5 times at that specific place.

 

Only actually working three of the five years may have something to do with it too.

Nope Just lucky.

 

In a year and a half here I have only lost loads due to a bad trailer once. I pull 20+ trailers a week. If the issues were that bad and frequent, I'd be bankrupt by now.

 

Yep. Except for the few times I venture out of my little area, 12+ loads a week is the norm. My record is 21. Occasionally I get lucky and don't have to pull an MT.

 

Lol I maybe "chose" to go there once, all others were company dispatched.

Point being its not always the driver, gotta wonder what those yard guys at Cedar Rapids are doing to the trailers
