Thinking Houston to atla
-
Atlanta , north Carolina and south Carolina I just hate to go any further up cause I hate tolls
-
Dude you don't pay tolls in the Northeast or around Chicago here
-
If you dont mind running for a $1 a mile you could do that.
Highest paying load all next week in the lane is $1.10 hazmat load with two days on it, live load/unload.
Telling you man, it's cheap down there.
If you wanted to be home every weekend and stay close to home doing those cheap loads you won't do very well. -
Yuck that's nasty bro I still gotta give it a try
-
I've been chatting with Like and he's gave me some pointers. If i had a good local job I wouldn't come but I'm literally gonna starve if i don't make a move
-
You'd be better off getting the heck out of the crap area for a few weeks, stay in the money zone.. make your money and then go home.
That's what i do and I'm in TN and which is a whole lot better than LA.
If i went home every weekend I'd be leaving sooo much on the table.
If I stay out 3 weeks and then take a week off vs being home every weekend. It's a $2000+ difference in my income over the peroid. It's that big.
Staying in the good areas and working the money loads vs just trying to be close to home and be home every weekend makes a huge difference.Last edited: Apr 9, 2016
redoctober83 and BigNate Thank this. -
If i could I would but a week out will be max fer me due to family issues
-
If you have family issues and have a need to be home every week i do not suggest leasing a $150000 truck, especially in the cheap rate area you live.
I think you should look into LTL or something dedicated that can keep you close to home.Lone Ranger 13, Jonkie and HalpinUout Thank this.
