Also what rate Schneider brokerage can pull in for a rate is different than what any single John Doe O/O can.
Some shippers won't even talk to small carriers or single truck O/Os. Also can i offer a customer a trailer pool? No.
That's leverage and pulling power a mega carrier has that the little man doesn't have and that factors into rates.

I get that and understand where your coming from.

I don't bash SNI just for the sake of bashing.

I believe the changes they have made in the choice program, while they might be beneficial to SNI in the short term, will hurt in the long run.

SNI being a strong, successful, smart company that does the right thing for everyone it does business with is what I hope we all want. But they are acting like a company that has become short sighted and desperate to cut its costs.

Of course, if I'm so smart why don't I own the largest private transportation company in the world.

How do you know a broker won't be taken #### near half the load?... Like FW said... You gotta be a little bit more open to seeing things and not be so naive because if you think I'm broke I ain't going to clean your clock but I don't know what else to tell you because while their are some decent Brokers there are some really shyster ones out there

Do you guys even know how % works?
You know it still breaks down into cents per mile.
    Just like your operation costs.

Do you book loads by Total revenue,Loaded rate per mile or Estimated Total Rate per mile?
I would bet you all go by the per mile, just like I do.

You can't truly run on % unless you know exactly what the SNI is getting the rate for from Schneider Logistics.
They play with the rate in order to manipulate what they show the load for on the board.
That way when some enterprising IC walks into Green Bay and says ''I'd like to see my rate sheets for the last 30 days please'',SNI can show them exactly what they need to.

The Mega's control the rates on almost all freight, the loads on outside boards are usually the loads they can't get moved within their influence of operation for one reason or another(time, area or coverage).

As for moving on to another company, since when is it against the rules to question your Carrier?
We don't have to agree with everything that goes on with how they make us run.
And if you think nothing has changed in the last 5 years with choice your dead wrong.
It is no where near what it once was and if you think it is you are a true moron or just plain high.

Schneider had a good thing,it's still better than most but it is changing.
    IMO for the worse.

So to all you guys who ''complain'' keep it up,after all the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

They do every load. The shipper could be paying $1,000,000/ mi, if Schneider wants to put it on the board for $1.00/mi, they can, and legally.

They pay us whatever they want to haul it, regardless of what the customer is paying.

Yup and the same goes for brokers if you're working with them for loads.
If you don't like it get your own authority and direct customers with no middle men.
Even if you do that you can't command the same rate a mega carrier can.

If nobody ever pointed out a problem before they had a solution a lot of problems would never be solved.
