My last 2 weeks has been FUBAR!!!! Back to back weeks loads have been canceled on Mondays. I have been DH more. I deadheaded 210 mi the other day. Got there and the load had been pushed back. Yes, I broke one of my rules. Not to DH over 75 mi to pu load. If your not loaded by the weekend, you can forgot it. I have done back to back 34 restart. Freight is there, but its cheap and it comes with a price. My miles are way down. O yeah... my AC is not working again. Heading to the house next week. Going to take a couple of weeks off.

    freightwipper Thanks this.

All is well with me once i escaped the cheap rate south.
Today is a 3 load day ending up in Iowa, about 325 miles total at $2.40
Tomorrow is two load day ending up in Cincinnati from Iowa for about $1.80 and both pick up and drop at same location.

I'm doing ok. But it's not consistence. Back in the day, if a load canceled you could find another load that day. Now, you have to sit till the next day or two. I am not taking cheap freight. IM all out of favors. lol. Just need to get home and regroup. Been out 3 weeks getting cranky.

Back in the day a lot was different.
Though it's better than winter freight is still down and A LOT!
Now more than ever I gotta stay in heavy freight lanes.
Where is it you have to sit for a day or two if there's an cancel?

Shoot son just do what one of our drivers does, feign an engine problem and say hey I'm working with breakdown. Then when your 10 is done suddenly the truck is good, darn DEF trucks :D

I agree finding another load if something happens to the string can really be a challenge...seems to me the board got worse AFTER they let go all the market planners...

Omg there's a load going to North Dakota!
First time since I've been here seeing going there.
I'll be in the area it picks up too, I'm tempted to pop my North Dakota cherry but financially it would be really dumb lol.
