We are losing accounts and loads no doubt, I'm noticing it.
Whenever i poke around for info it's almost always Swift underbidding us. God I HATE Swift!!!
Also I've hauled more brokered loads lately, including CH Robinson.. yup right on the bills.
When Schneider is having to through somebody like them for loads you know times are tough.

But like we've discussed in the past yes Swift is coming in and under betting us but with as many #### breakfast with has those customers will come calling back to us mark my word I've seen it over and over in this industry in my career... but for those who think Schneider's going to go under you're seriously out of your mind

Being the info came from my finance REP I'd say so. She spoke as if she had a prior relationship with them.

As far as miles, I agree with you on that.
Theres less loads and it's more difficult to play connect the dots with loads and I've been having to do longer length of haul loads and more miles.

And yes our steady customers are disappearing and/pumping out less loads.
A year ago id never pulled brokerer loads, I'm seeing and pulling a bunch of them lately.
Freight is in the tank now, it's like that everywhere. It is what it is.

Oh I know what you're saying but still it sucks.
When the economy is slow some customers probably just wanna get their crap moved at the cheapest not caring about service.
Them again if Schneider drivers keep driving over the grass we mighy lose another customer lol @stevep1977

I've been telling people the economy right now it's going to stay in a very unstable environment until after this election because businesses don't know which way it's going to go and frankly that's what's hurting right now the uncertainty but all we can do right now is just hang on and do the best we can and Only the Strong will survive I guess

Hey there dude, glad to still see you around.
Story was yesterday the engine was a wreck, soo many problems and I'm likely to get a new Engine but they're just waiting on the final word from the warranty people.
Then today they were instructing to shop to "try" and fix everything instead.
Soooo at this point I don't know wtf is going on.
It was like pulling teeth trying to get info out of them.

I've noticed if nobody picks a load, espacially a live load and time is running down that they send company drivers to pick it up as a relay sometimes or it then shows up on the board as a relay.
I've seen that happen a bunch of times.
Happens a lot around Chicagoland most of all.

You weren't hear years ago FW.. So you have nothing to compare what it is now to... You're only going off of what you see now.. Some of us were here when it was gravy.. The rates now suck... Yea you were under a high paying load but it was going to an area you normally don't run and it was heavy and it was in a mountain area.. Which costed you an engine maybe and extensive downtime.. What I'm saying is you didn't have to do as much running and multi stops years ago as apposed to now.. It's all a crap shoot yea but when you have a load board that is playing tricks on us and cutting good loads into relays and etc it's hard to keep a good pace.. At this rate this program is really going to good for guys with paid off trucks or very low payments... It's becoming harder and harder for guys with lease payments.. But hey maybe this is their way of getting guess to stay out longer.. You never know but something is definitely up

I enjoy following the thread, a thought. I'm an anomaly as a trucker, I have 25 yrs in sales and marketing at various leadership levels in large companies - now I am truker.

From what many of you are describing it sounds like SNI has got a few MBA's in place that are focused solely on looking at the numbers and are maximizing the short term profits for the company. I'm sure they have never driven a truck and really just think that in the gravy days as you describe them drivers were making to much and SNI was leaving money on the table.

Could be wrong, but its how it looks from the outside.

Broker loads happen whenever loads get slow. 2006-8 did a lot c.h. Robinson loads with sni. Pita for sure. They wanted 2 check calls per day to c.h. One steady one was s.w. Utah farms to long beach port with alfalfa cubes for export.

    TA

P.s. economy is slow because of the debt load. Its unsustainable.
