man everybody is blasting me for dreaming lol.
I'm not doing it. For me it's the same old OH, IN area until I eventually get sucked back into PA.
That's all I've been doing 90% of the time.

If someone did it lets see.. it's 1100 miles and $2400, then you'd have to probably deadhead 350 miles in MN for your next load.
Even with that deadhead it's $1.65 all miles which isn't soooo bad.

I'll deadhead to the North Pole if it pays good enough lol.

That ND load picked up on Monday and delivered on Friday at only 1200 miles....

At least the one I saw did....

    Lots of sitting....

    Roll on....

    Schneider heard you

The load changed and now picks up anytime tomorrow the 6th and delivers on the 9th at 5am.
    1100 miles $2400.

There's a load 270 miles from there picking up on the 9th at noon in MN going to TN 980 and $1423.
That's $1.62 all miles between the two.
Not bad for two 1000 mile runs.

Or on the 10th a load in MN going to NC.. 340 miles of deadhead and load is 1200 miles paying $1860.

If the price is right it's worth going into a dead zone like ND.
How often can you do back to back 1000 mile runs for over $1.60 all miles?
    It's rare

That's 4+ hours of driving just to get the load..plus the fuel burned.
It doesn't make sense to me at least to burn time that could be used to stay in a good freight lane.

Deadhead is just that..no pay on hours used.
But hey it's your gig..tour the country and don't worry about trying to justifying it

I'm with Whipper.......the cool thing about choice is that when you get tired of seeing the same old stuff, and you just want to stretch your legs a bit, you can........honestly, it looks like he had a pretty good plan lined up.

If he found those loads he should've taken them.
