The pulling hills with a heavy load blew his motor comment was definitely out there. If that were true, CO would be covered in truck carnage with everyone bowing motors.

 

Tell them to put a Cummins in it. I have no problems with WV mountains. LOL!!!

 

Have they finally straightened out all the camshaft and sleeve issues with them? I drove a ISX500 once andLOVED the power, but have heard about them letting go around 3-400k from multiple sources. That and great jake brake, only bested by the DD15...HATED the jake brake on the MX13 I trained with!

 

I'll hang on to my Cat 6NZ thanks.

 

They redesigned the engine for 2010 emissions and eliminated a lot of those issues.

 

I just picked up a PG load tonight in Ohio all was fine there..I dont see any pepsi loads out of Texas anymore...TSC had an IC friend pull a load in AZ for them this week..

Like I said this was according to the company driver and what the message said on his qc from his dbl. That's why I was asking for confirmation on it.
