If Coolant got into the dpf that means trouble ..... And I doubt they said anything about that.....
-
How would coolant get into the DEF? Isnt the DEF system a one way only system? And "mixed" at exhaust thru the doser valve? In a way post combustion?

DPF, if coolant gets into the exhaust, it's bad on the material that makes up the DPF and the DOC.

Sorry dpf not def.....
He said he lost a liner and coolant was everywhere..... Which means it went out the exhaust too thru dpf . It turns into a concrete like substance that can't be cleaned out.....
Just part of the fun of warranty repairs...... -
Even with a rice burner and the 2200 degrees the exhaust gets when doing a regeneration? God theres so much to learn....here I #####ed all morning taking my old xm antenna off and putting on a new and improved one...

Back in my truck, the engine sounds more smooth running than when brand new. I have a feeling things with my engine were screwed up from the start.
I do see a bunch of new stuff in the engine bay.
I better get far away from West Virginia asap... aint that right @duddie
mxpx148, duddie and Cledus Snow Thank this. -
Bad thing is, it goes to the DOC first which will plug up the face and a $2500 price tag. Then if it gets to the DPF, it will plug it up and a $1500 price tag. If it gets to the SCR Catalyst and plugs it up, $3500 price tag.

Good luck man. Hopefully you're problem free for a long time now..freightwipper Thanks this.
