Go get ya some, Whipper. Schneider is limited to certain types of freight because of the spring ride trailer fleet. If they got air ride trailers, it would open up some doors to different types of freight that requires air ride trailers.

I gottcha, it's just my preference. I would rather take an easy path, rather than get sweaty and dirty tarping messing with a skateboard. For me, there would have to be a significant pay increase. Of course a conestoga wouldn't be that bad.

This is the ultimate steering wheel holder job.

    Just think...

Dry Van, Point/click loads and someone could do all open window appt drop/hook loads if they wanted to, along with choosing loads away from population centers.
It can't get any easier than that can it?

I'm about... "is it worth it".

As a company driver at first I wanted to get into flatbed that is until i realized a good Van company pays about much as any flatbed company job without all this risks and BS involved so I steered away from that.
Flatbed rates are a lot higher than Van though but company drivers dont see that money.

As far as Schneider goes as long as I stay in good areas and do shorter loads I make good money and it's pretty easy so it's worth it to me.
Well at least to me it's good money, "truckerscoach" thinks his $1.20 is good :biggrin_25513:

Need to chime in and clarify, I was in Milwaukee and those were 3 load choices I passed up. They ranged between $1.70 and $2.30 with my deadhead if I would have done them.

No $4- $5 loads here wellll I am doing one tomorrow paying $4.80 but it only goes 38 miles lol.

I do think Mr. Flatbed is making a lot more money than any of us Van drivers

He said DOUBLE...you said 2.50 to Eau Clare and $2 the rest of the way. That would mean $4-5 would be double.
