I love how my one load got nit picked out lol.
It was a filler load headed in the direction of my following load that wouldnt be ready till later anyways.
I'd rather earn $200 than deadhead those miles and sit for a few hours at the truck stop but that's just me.duddie and 4mer trucker Thank this. -

But umm..when was 600+ dollars the same as 200? Ya, I'm obviously not following what you were trying to say. -
Another thing is a drop and hook I'm sure takes less time and less work than the labor and time involved of working with a flatbed on short loads.
Big reason why shorter loads pay better per mile is because of the time it takes BSing around with customers and getting load/unloaded, that's intensified in the flatbed world so deserving so you should be paid more.
There might come a time for me the extra labor &bs involved in flatbed is the worth the extra money it pays for me to make a switch, right now I'm yet at that point.Last edited: May 16, 2016

As for the other part, I read how you explained in a thread how the board works going out west, your number will change according to other drivers who empty out. He tried to tell me I was an idiot and that's not how it worked and I shouldn't believe everything on the internet, of course unless it was posted by him.
