Yes Schneider sells loads to themselves and takes a cut before the "65%".
Yes Schneider hides loads from us to keep for company trucks.
Yes Schneider will say sometimes a load cancels when really they put in on a company truck.
Yes I beach about there being less loads and not ballin in the money like I use to.

BUT I'm still here and all are you, there's a reason for that. The reason is there isn't anything better for the type of operation we run and pulling a Van. If there was we would have left and be there instead.
There's talk of Landstar drivers that left and wanted to come back but got rejected by Schneider.
@duddie left and then came back... then talk about that Mercer freight is down as well.

I had a load cancel and it's forced to be run at $1.45 all miles the next couple days, 500 miles today. It sucks but even some bad times for me is still better than all these other cheap arse carriers out there.
I am NOT paying for a truck and running for no $1-1.30 like many of these other carriers pay, nope not happening.. I'd rather be a company driver or learn flatbed before that happens.
Things just suck everywhere now, cause freight in general is sucking but by all means if any of you find a better job please let us all know.

I don't think it has anything to do with bad rates as is has to do with the company being shady. SNI is your business partner. If you had a partnership, and your partner was playing games like this behind your back, how long would they be your partner? It's just wrong. I know some are willing to look the other way because there appears to be nothing better, but ####. I went from really wanting to join you guys on Choice to taking a big step back to see how this all plays out even if they did call and take my truck. Just doesn't pass the smell test.

Micro managing increased a bit this morning. About an hour before my appointment time, while parked 10 feet from the receiving door and sleeping comfortably, my ICA calls to remind me I have a delivery schedules for a critical customer and wants to know where I am.

Tell them next time to give the critical to a company driver so it can be dispatched late to the truck and is impossible for on time.

Yeah, I'm probably even less popular now with the people who think they are my bosses now.

Moving a DBL over to be an ICA is a bad idea, IMO.

I did exactly the same thing. While my company isn't perfect, we're swamped with business and I'm still get nice settlements. I managed to run 2380 miles at an average of $1.87. But I'm a tanker yanker.

I'm not getting rich where I'm at either, but it's decent money, and even more importantly, they're not sticking knives in my back every time I turn around. They love their oo's here.

So, now I get a message that says "have you asked yourself why your NAT is expired?" I reply with because I have no freight within 300 miles of me and sitting here searching for something to do.

Customer Service is looking for loads for drivers in the area, and the guy changes my NAT to 0800 tomorrow. All that does is show that there is one less truck here needing freight. So, I change it back, call in and have another unpleasant conversation.

    About to lose my sanity.

So do you think SNI is trying to cull the heard and keep only the most motivated Choice drivers on? Seems like they are going out of their way to be unpleasant...

Though if you are still able to net $1500 to $2000 on average every week you're doing much better than most company drivers even with the extra effort you are putting in. I'm still with a reefer company, fortunately people still have to eat and we are doing well, but I hope Choice rebounds.

Or I find out it's really awesome and y'all are just trying to keep us away LOL.
