I've had the same unpleasant talks as well. NAT= next AVAILABLE time. Which to me means, any time before that is my time!!!! I am available at the time I have set and beyond. But THEY want you to be booked with a load by that time. We shouldn't even be involved with that. I will book a load when I am good and ready. That NAT should be for company drivers ONLY!!!

This guy though? He even made the decision once to pull a load from me because it was a "critical" customer, and he wasn't sure if I would get it picked up and delivered on time. Never mind what my ETA's said, just take it on yourself to remove it. Luckily, I got stopped and read the message and managed to get him on the phone before it actually happened.
Haven even gotten messages (ones that go to the whole group of drivers) that complains at us "IC's" and how the problems he is dealing with never happened to him as a DBL on the company side.
I keep waiting for him to adjust to how things on the IC side work, but getting impatient, LOL.Winnyf1 Thanks this. -

It just irritates me with the guy does something as senseless as changing my NAT to the next day for no reason. Had I not noticed that when it happened, and a load popped up here for today, it would have been rejected because of that stupid NAT being changed, and by the time I got that fixed, load would have been on another truck.redoctober83, TennMan and Home_on_wheels Thank this. -

About a year ago I was having a problem with a different ica and my Nat being pushed out to the next day after only being 45mins old. After I got on the phone with head of ic's in gb it stopped

There was ALWAYS BS going here and if someone doesn't expect to deal with some level BS at any mega carrier they'd better wake up.
Most all these trucking companies lie and pull BS on drivers, isn't the turnover rate still over 100% in this industry? lol
I have been following these Schneider threads for two or so years now. If you go back and read you'll see there was always BS here.
Heck in some ways the BS was worse a year ago, remember all the talk about MT trailer hunts and doing free MT trailer shuttles.. well how much of that do you read about anymore? Barely none.
While there always has been some level of BS going on in the past it was a lot easier to deal with because the money was rolling buddy!
You don't feel so bad about doing a couple MT trailer hunts and Schneider messing up an appointment when you still cleared $3000+ after costs for the week lol.
Now because the money is less I think our general tolerance for the BS is a lot less.
Staying out 7 days i can still clear $2000 easy but now I have to actually work and be on the load board a lot everyday just to do $2500 and bust my butt to try and do $3000.
A year ago $3000 weeks were not that difficult, all i had to to was two loads a day 350-400 miles around $2 all miles and I'd clear $3000. Heck I had multiple weeks closer to $4000 and one week over $4000 which caused some drama in this thread when I posted about it lol. Now pulling off numbers like that is impossible.
There was a bunch of 150-200 miles paying over $2 a mile back then, now barely any unless they're going to dead areas.
I remember a year ago there were loads from Indy to Columbus and back I could pull off at $2 all miles or close to it. Ran that lane a lot... easy money. Well that doesn't exist anymore.
Plus being there's less loads i find myself having to deadhead more.
It sucks now but in a way I feel like I say that because I was spolied. I read these trucking ADs and keep seeing this $.90- $1 a mile plus FSC all the time, those jobs are EVERYWHERE.
So even though i am making less money and still dealing with BS I'd rather have it that way than earning $1.20 and having a dispatcher.. that sounds like the ultimate nightmare lol.Winnyf1 Thanks this. -
