Theres no you shouldnt have to nothing.
We only have jobs because crap has to be moved.. some areas more than others.
If you wanna be a truck driver, home everyday and live in the middle of nowhere/or dead zone for freight... heres an idea! Get a different job!
Or stay out for weeks at a time working good areas before coming home.
I am flying to Florida in a couple days on a cheap flight, wouldnt rather do that than mess around there with cheap freight!
Picking my own freight baby! My journey to & of being on Schneider choice, the Adventure & Numbers!

You sound like a broker, not a driver.
Without us, the drivers, there's no economy.
We deserve much more compensation and respect for
the work we do.
You demonstrate a defeated mentality, consciously agreeing
on the unacceptable way of how the drivers are treated right now. -
Those guys on strike are drayage running in and out of the ports.
CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
Since you want government control over the economy why don't you just move to Venezuela. They really showed those evil business owners, many of them so called "middle men", how it should be.
Or you could go to Cuba, its been working great there for almost 70 years.
Or how about this.....
Start your own freight brokerage in FL. Take a straight up 5% of the load. If all the others are taking as much as you claim, it won't be long before every o/o and company needing freight out will be coming to you.
A couple of years and you'll be rich from the shear volume of freight going through your hands. And as a bonus you'll put all those greedy sob crooks out of business. C'mon man show us all how it should be done.RootHog, drvrtech77, sealevel and 3 others Thank this. -
Your nuts. They don't care for the drivers yet they are constantly in court on behalf of drivers.
-
Good for you, if you think OOIDA provides enough protection for the
drivers.
For me, it is truly insignificant. -
What you don't get is supply and demand.
So much for "constant learner".
What is soo difficult to understand about too many trucks and too little freight?
If shippers have no loads to be moved do you blame that on the brokers also?PoleCrusher Thanks this. -
I don't think you get it.
-
Again, do you think it is normal if the schipper pays $2 per mile,
the IC to receive $.65 per mile? -
Don't get what exactly? What is this mysterious it oh great enlightened one?
Or must I go meditate under a tree until the tree reveals its true nature? Oh please great learned master of all, what must I do in order to understand "it"?redoctober83 Thanks this.
