I didn't say anything about enough protection. What other group fights for truckers?

How do you know the shipper is paying the claimed $2 a mile?
In a limited freight environment brokers are fighting for loads just like the drivers.

 

It's an example. You should know better than me that brokers take huge cuts of the rates all the time, leaving the drivers with nothing.

 

And you don't think they and their lawyers get a chunk of any settlement they win?

 

Then don't use them and go get your own customers. Simple as that.

 

I am talking about the big picture where the drivers are abused so much. OOIDA doesn't appear there.

 

I could careless. What lawyers do you know that work for free? The point is OOIDA is the only group that fights for truckers.

 

As I've said before, I hate brokers and even the idea of freight middle men.
However at the end of the day freight get moved for what drivers are willing to pull it for.
If it be through a broker, carrier or shipper.

 

Then go work in a different industry if you think its so bad.
