    Mine is back up now. Thankfully was booked to the holiday weekend, but just found something decent coming out too.

    Sooo I got details on how a what the numbers are if I choose to buy my truck after the lease is up.
    Schneider would finance the rest over a 2 year peroid. After two years you get the title.
    Payments would be around $630 a week.

    My yearly lease payments are about $40,000 a year.
    That's $120,000 after 3 years.. yeah i know :eek:.
    Then with interest I would pay about $66,000 over the last two years. Then factor in I put $5,000 up front means over 5 years I would have basically paid $191,000 for a Kenworth.
    Yeah I know :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    A similar Kenworth with a cummins (no diesel apu) at Lonemountain over that same 5 year peroid would be $169,000.
    So $21,000 difference in cost over 5 years.
    Which is like earning an extra $80 a week over 5 years.
    In other words whatever I do I don't think I'll lease another truck through Schneider.
    It was good getting myself into a truck and making money, seeing how I'd do etc but yeah you do pay for that convenience.

    Onadetour Thanks this.

    I don't know...

    Though with all my short loads I should have very low miles and it'll be worth more than what I can buy it for in 18 months.
    I am also considering maybe hiring a driver working as a team.
    Also wondering if I ever want to have big truck payments ever again, or if a glider would be worth it.
    Pondering many things...
