Depends where in Cali... Lol.... one thing you're going to notice especially when you get west of Wyoming and west of Salt Lake how quiet it is and how light the traffic is... the last truck stop going West on 80 that I can think of to Bay Area is the Sacramento 49er / pilot

Okay kiddies here's a "Prime" example why it's not smart to rely on dispatchers to give you loads.

Here's a flatbed driver from Prime doing flatbed.
Flatbed loads pay more than Van and Reefer and Prime pays a higher % than Schneider.
Should mean a lot more money right? Not when you have a dispatcher giving you crap loads!
He was pushing for a good week and well...

    3534 miles
    $4,221 in revenue

$1.19 a mile for the week... doing flatbed!

Some of that must also be carry over miles from the previous week. 3500 miles within 7 days in a Prime truck chaining and tarping loads is kinda pushing it.

Lone Ranger 13 and 48Packard Thank this.

He's all about the "$4000 in revenue" even if it takes him 3500 miles to get it lol.

I thought flat paid better. Shouldn't it be more like $4,000 on 1,800-2,000 miles?

That's why you don't let a dispatcher run your life.

You can't see California loads if you are not Carb Complaint Schneider can actually prevent you from seeing loads into and out of California made me wonder what other stuff they can hide on the IC board

There are so many people that have ZERO business leasing/owning a truck. There should be a wonderlic test before you can sign for a truck....
