Question isn't directed to you directly, but Schneider had some 2012 gliders for sale for a decent pride in Gary. I need to upgrade trucks and was considering one of these, have these been good trucks? Someone once told me they had electrical issues, but that was one guy and sounded more like a rumor.

One possible way to check the history of the trucks is somehow get in touch with them maybe look at the trucks and get some VIN numbers and run those on rigdig.com... that's a Carfax report for trucks and it will give you the incomplete history of that truck including all the DOT inspections and AND any dot reportable accidents involved with that truck

Should be able to take the engine serial number and call a Detroit dealer and ask if there is any warranty or dealer performed work in their system. Same with tractor serial number, call a Freightliner dealer and see if anything is in the nationwide system.

I've done that with several Cat engines in trucks I was looking at.

I kind of know one of the mechanics at the Chicago OC. He told me if I ever need maintenance history to text him the truck number and he'd pull everything for me. Last time I looked at the Gary OC, they said they wouldn't give me any info in what's been done.

I knew about Rigdig, but with it being a glider, I didn't think anything would show.

Called today when I got my load dropped. Didn't want to call yesterday, because I know whoever happened to be working the holiday would likely have a bad attitude.

Got my mileage pay for the deadhead, and got the VNU.

48Packard, rickybobby and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Anybody want to assume the note on a t660 glider? Lol.

Just got contacted by Walmart, they have an opening for me at the DC and want me to go in for an interview.

Wish I would have gotten that call 6 months ago....

tucker, 48Packard and mxpx148 Thank this.

I had one that was falling apart and was assembled shoddy as hell (weather seals falling out, pieces of plastic dashboard falling apart). Also had wiring issues with the A/C compressor that I had in the shop 4 or 5 times but they never bothered to fix it.

I also had one that was good that had a couple sensor problems when I first got it but nothing else wrong in the 100000 miles I put on it. I guess it depended on which person assembled it in Mexico.

When's the last time you looked on the board and saw zero freight?

Are you having an issue making it here?

Or is it just the rates we're seeing stinks?

Or are they just cherry picking freight for company trucks?

Maybe just maybe they've too many trucks which is why we don't see the amount of good freight on the board because it's gone in a second.

None of us can say we sit because of lack of freight, maybe lack of freight we'd like but there's still freight it's just cheaper now than it was last year or the previous years.

Simply put... a lack of good freight.
When it does pop it's gone in .0000001 seconds.

Also because of the lack of good freight I find myself doing longer loads and deadheading between loads more all of which knocks my numbers down.

I'd say I'm operating at like .15-.20 a mile less than I was a year ago.

Still doing a lot better than numbers I see in youtube videos from Interstate and Prime drivers.
$1.20 for flatbed  what a joke.
    Came across that video recently.

I was loving driving across Nebraska and Wyoming!
I'd run that back and forth and wouldn't want to be nowhere else (except in winter lol).
Too bad thats not really an option here unless for peanuts maybe.
