If anyone needs or wants a special order that's doable too.

I don't know all good questions. I have never been affiliated with sfi in any way. To my knowledge, limited as it may be, it is illegal to operate under your own authority and lease your services to a carrier who also has authority. This is where the trip lease comes in. I have the option for my own plates, I elect to use my own fuel card, I get the best deal through SNI on insurance so I buy it through them. I also know at any point and time I can be terminated. Cause could be as simple as (lack of freight). Nock on fake wood panel hasn't happened yet. If it does then me and my truck roll on. Really just that simple. Idk.

If you're willing to train rookies lease ops can make a good wage at Swift lol
Obviously with many pitfalls but some oddballs seem to enjoy it.

You get paid for all miles the student drives and you don't have to pay the student. I'm sure there are other companies that do it that way but I know Swift does. Like teaming without having to pay your teammate, but also teaming with a fresh rookie. Ehh...

Yes, but who is responsible for safety? Daimler Trust "owns" my truck but it's SNI who is the 'motor carrier responsible for safety'.

Does your business have a legal presence in Indiana?

I'm not saying y'all aren't running your own businesses. I just think, industry wide, the carrier/IC relationship falls more in the category of parent company/subsidiary or employer/employee than true business partners.

    TennMan Thanks this.

So I just checked out Schneider website again and they're only looking for current Schneider company drivers to sign on to Choice.
