I agree the Def system is wrecking these trucks. Plus I'm not so sure how "good" the mechanics are, read a computer code look up flow chart in repair manual and work your way to resolution. I now need a new doser valve. Should be done in a few hours there has to be a better way to PM the DEF System so we don't have these problems.

I don't know, Dave, but if you've already replaced one doser, I don't think you should need another one so soon. But, they kinda make us dependent on them to tell the truth.....because of computers and whatnot. I know this much, I replaced a $3000 SEM controller and when it still didn't work, bought a new pig tail and a half dozen fuses and went on my way. Sooooooo.......coulda been the pig tail to begin with. But you never know. I know this much, every time I pull into a Freightliner dealership, I bring my own lube (as lube does not fall into the category of 'shop supplies'.).

Company driver getting paid .40 per Schneider mile given a 300 Schneider mile load could be 350 actual driving miles meaning that driver really drove for .34 a mile.

Under the crap system Schneider system

Does SFI offer any Cascadias with options, or just stripped models? I understand that they don't even have a trolley brake or suspension dump??

If you listen to road dog Kevin Rutherford touts Pittsburg Power for doing a def system cleaning pm like deal. I guess I've been lucky so far. 200 k and just a doser injector replaced on my Cascadia, knock wood.

Think of them as company spec Shakers with the governor removed and battery apu added on.
That's pretty much it as far as last i heard.

Ugh! I've been approved for Choice since May...finally coming up on my year so SFI will approve me. Like the lower down payment of the Cascadia, but no trolley or air dump?! That's crazy! Wish I had the 5k for a KW/Volvo
