I'll put it this way I don't need no fancy truck to do my job I can make just as much money if not more than somebody with a fully loaded truck... They're pieces of equipment that do a job plain and simple

How many other "jobs" out there do you live and sleep out of most of your time?
That should say it all right there.
Might as well be a little more comfortable while out here working and sleeping in a truck is the way I look at it.

If there was a huge amount of money difference between trucks, okay I could get that but there isn't.

Brother, I leased a used truck and was fortunate enough to be able to pay it off in 2 years, so I recommend it. Look, most of the real bad stuff is gonna happen in the first 100k miles or so. After that, it's just starters, brakes, clutches, and whatnot. If I were you, I'd do this......get one that's about 2-3 years old but has a TriPac. Pay on that rascal for 2 years and buy it out. After 2 years you'll know every fart, burp, and fizzle in it, and you'll know if it's good or bad. And you'll know who's driven it for the last 2 years and how he took care of it.
I've done very few things in my life that I planned out and it worked out; leasing and buying from Schneider was one of them. Ask anyone on this board if they'd like a really nice '09 Cascadia that has been babied and taken care of (almost like you owned it.....LOL), that's paid off, and there'll be few who say "heck no, I'd rather make truck payments".

    Best of luck......

A fully loaded truck with a bunch of chicken lights and chrome don't pay the bills sorry I know some people think so but it doesn't

Tech, in my opinion you're right.......Whipper, as per usual.......nevermind.
The difference is between the guys who stay out a week or two, and the guys (like Whipper) who are pretty much homeless (by choice). Look, all I need is a bunk. I couldn't care less about a TV, refrigerator, personal masseuse, or a dang thing else. All I want to know is will the truck start in the morning and will it get me where I want to go. It's a tool to run a business. And all the other crap isn't gonna drop a single dime to my bottom line (except for the APU).
