Living in Chicago? You can be home every weekend for sure and clear way more than the 1000.00 a week you currently are making.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I'm down $1,000/week from what I was making just a couple weeks ago. (After fuel and ocac, I was making $2,800/week or better. I'm now closer to $2,000)

Lots of 10-50 mile loads around Chicago. Could almost be a local driver there. One of only a couple markets like that here.

In the long run, the price of a new truck is not a big deal , spread over time.
Cheaper vs a few thousand more.
Started cheap then traded for a loaded truck.
The loaded truck can bring a good price when you sell it. And all those guages people say you don't need are very useful when something goes wrong.
Life is short . Get what you want.
    Get a big hood , losers !
I mean that in a nice way.

I know it's a great market, even though the state sucks........i have a $750/day gross rule. That's my bottom line. I just didn't think I could hit that number at SNI.

Sure it does, delivers freight just like a plain Jane truck does.

Now some people choose to drive one truck as compared to another but both trucks deliver the same freight and earn the same revenue.

I've got chicken lights and chrome get home weekly and take about 6 weeks a year off and I still make money.

It's like everything else in trucking it's about what each driver likes and is willing to do to achieve it.

Btw, I'd be happy to take chicken lights over nothing. I'd love to own a decked out Pete again, but it's not what I need for the work I do

Yeah but those short runs around Chicago your turn around and spend all day long and won't go anywhere you'll be sitting here in traffic spending money

Hang on there Big John do you own the truck? You have been on this thread long enough to know Midwest is very strong. I will be back to Midwest in a few weeks if you want to get together I can show you loadboard and rates. Then you decide. Oh and I do NOT take referral money ..give it to FW he needs a retirement account...
