Yes, just with a different pay structure.

We're I the IRS, or FMCSA, or Dictator of the World the whole "IC" thing would be very much different.

I was at an OC, on the board, planning my next few loads. Another IC, proceeds to tell me how he does 5k every week. Yep, confident as ####.He has been on Choice a month.

He said most drivers do it all wrong. I asked him where he runs? He said Texas. I had to laugh. He was totally serious! He books 2 weeks out consistently. His wife is an IT whiz and rides with him. When he drives, she is on the board.

I don't run like him just play the cards I am dealt. I realized then that no matter how much I put into this business, there will always be someone that can do it faster, more efficient, and more profitable than I ever will be able to.

I congratulate all the high revenue earners. Above all, with all the headaches involved to make a dollar, I just hope that everyone is happy, healthy and safe. 24 years in the industry and I can say we can always make more money, but we can never make more time.

As I have so often discovered, it is a waste of time to explain to people that will not listen. I know of people in all walks of life that can do incredible things. So I just listen.

The Schneider hierarchy, on the other hand, I will hang up and not listen. To them we are just a line on their screen. It's so much of a relief to remove myself from misery whenever I have the option.

I was thinking the same thing.
Man, there's guys on this board, (Sadwar and Freightwhipper) that always seem to do well above average, yet I seem to fall somewhere in the middle. But, I stay happy. I can run for 5 days and bank $2500, and I'm cool with that. What's most important to me is that I stay busy and I get home.......and make a little money.
Man, think about it........I'm somewhat lamenting that I only clear $2500 a week.....we're loosing focus along with our minds.

alpha beta and scottlav46 Thank this.
