It's definitely understandable, but from what I understand, you have to use only approved SFI vendors or pay a fee, and it can be a hassle retrieving your money for maintenance, unless I recrived bad info?? I'm the type of guy that can/would do my own oil/lube and save a few bucks for my business.

 

They sell brand new 2017 Gliders...Fitzgerald Gliders...nothing finer. Yes they can be brought here.

There seems to be different info given out from different people in management at Schneider. Just spoke with Jennifer the other day and she told me I could not bring a glider into lease...only EPA2010 and newer.

 

Not that you "have" to use SFI approved vendors, but that there is a fee if you go outside their approved vendors. May be BS...like anything in the trucking industry, some people give good info and others just talk lol.

 

Where do you live? I live in Denver and somehow forgot to send in my Carb Form Schneider knows I had a new 2016 truck... They shut my load board off for any trip going into or out of California...once signed. Back on.

I know for a fact there are new gliders allowed on can't remember his name but he has a new T660 black...I also think @sadwar has permission to bring one on.

For me as much as I would love one I need California as an option.

I live in PA...maybe because I will be coming on as a new IC?? Idk...I was interested in looking at the used Columbia gliders and securing my own financing for ease of maintenance, but Jennifer told me that I couldnt. I have no intentions of running Cali once I come to Choice...I currently run a semi dedicated run for my current company from Pa->DE->CA and back, and the only reason I do it is for the consistent miles/lack of downtime. Being that I pull reefer, I spend a lot of time sitting at shippers/receivers and I don't get detention 99.9% of the time. Makes for a low mileage week running our NE freight lol

 

It seems worse this year, plus all the 4 wheelers doing 80 to 85

 

Actually he just posted he got a call denying the glider coming on to the choice program.
