No I really don't know, I would guess it is as FW said, a company truck with APU.

They check your credit. Not score. They check for outstanding balances and collections. That's it. If your score is stupid high, they'll give you an option to finance instead of lease but that's it. Score has nothing to do with down payment at SFI. their purpose is to fill seats, not cut deals.

Is what you're saying is it wasn't offered but you negotiated to get your no down payment?

Also..with as much as sfi changes their requirements and such and all...there's no telling...today maybe no down then tomorrow it'll be $3k....now from what I've been told I think it's based on individual...I seriously doubt sfi has a blanket policy on this..at least it looks that way...

what i posted has nothing to do with the deal you get, i replied to the guy that said credit score doesnt determine whether you can run a truck or look at a loadboard, there is a a cause and effect, someone with a good credit score makes good decisions, someone who has made good decisions about money would be more apt to know his costs, and take loads that would ensure profitability, it s all about decision making. and someone with an 800 score would be more apt to get financing from another source at a cheaper monthly payment than leasing, there are probably very few 800 credit scores who a lease plan with a carrier in actual practice

Pretty much, I had several conversations with the guy from SFI while I was consideraing several options and he explained that they will match your down payment up to a certain amount at lease end, though I don't recall what that amount was right now. After looking at the offer and some other factors I asked if they would go zero down instead of the matching down payment and he got back to me and said yes. If that is negotiating then yes I negotiated it.

Ok....and what I'm saying is that SFI doesn't care about your score. The guy with an 800 credit score will pay the same down payment as a guy with a 600.

thats not what you said, you said a good credit score doesnt mean you know how to run a truck, i replied that a good credit score indicates someone who can make good decisions , which is very important to running a truck and picking loads. comprehend what was written

I could name members here but I'm not.
I do know drivers that got a Kenworth like mine around the time I did also had to put up $5k. (Now it's $7k supposedly)
A driver getting a second new Cascadia lease still had to up money down as well.

Seems odd they'd give a new guy zero down but a driver whom successfully completed a lease still had to put money down on the next lease
