Picking my own freight baby! My journey to & of being on Schneider choice, the Adventure & Numbers!

I did $3600 last week, Thursday through Monday. Best 5 day week I've had in awhile. Also, I was going through my books & realized I average $1.60 a mile for all miles one week running OK, TX, AR, KS, & MO. Not sure how I pulled it off. I've never been able to do that in that area before. Freight sucks in OK & TX.

I was reading back through some posts on another thread from early 2015, man I can't wait till freight picks back up like that again. I wasn't here yet but I'm ready for the rates to return.

There is still good money to be made, but like others have said, takes more work & better planning.

 

1.2 % GDP growth
95 million adults out of the workforce
New York fed manufacturer index is now negative(shrinking)

 

House hunting right now, so the economy needs to stay in the tank just a tad longer so I can still get a good interest rate.

 

I don't see the economy improving any time in the near future hopefully sometime down the road but definitely not this year

 

If it takes 2 yrs for rates to get where they are now at SNI, it will take SNI 4 yrs to get them back up AFTER the recovery.

They always go down at SNI faster than they'll ever go back up at SNI regardless of what the rest of the industry is doing.

 

Dude the economy sucks. Anyone claiming to be making killer money right now just shows they haven't been doing this long enough to know what killer money is. It's been so long since i had a thirty thousand dollar month i probably won't know what to do with myself the next time that happens.

 

It could be worse. I was in a group of IC "s today quite happy to be running <$1 freight cuz it's their lane. Lol! What if Schneider leased on ALL drivers that really wanted a profitable bottom line?
It would be an endless battle!

 

For perspective on just how bad it is, the last time we had only 1.2 %gdp growth was in the height of the great depression. This current administration is the first one in the history of the united states to never have 4 gdp growth.
