If you'll just mail me a check you'll spare me the inconvenience of driving out to the truckstop. I'll have more time to hang out at the bar.
    Thanks in advance!

Wow I'm sure SNI wanted to put a stop to earnings like that over 4 days. It's a shame really, as soon as drivers start earning decent money corporate panics and steps in to reduce their earnings...

Don't worry young grasshopper, with a little bit more time in the seat you will learn which truck stops keep the riffraff out. Now if i could find the places that keep the swifts and pumpkins out my hood would be a lot safer.

Trying to determine the state of our economy now is an extremely complex undertaking, one of the most significant challenges is the change in the average lifespan in the US and the real fact that the number of jobs needed vs the number of people who could work is unbalanced.

Manufacturing jobs are being reduced for a number of reasons, the lack of demand, automation, global competition... hey we aren't like Japan where they have a strong preference for domestically produced products, we'll buy what provides the lowest cost. Heck SNI Freightshakers aren't even made in the USA LOL...

Our domestic growth sucks, but probably not as badly as we are lead to think, what sucks more is the lack of willingness to focus on rebuilding the middle class, and being honest that middle class jobs of the future will be wholly different from those of the past, and our education system sure isn't being modified to keep up with the changes.

I hope SNI gets things figured out, you guys deserve better and I'd love for this to be an option someday, though if we somehow do get real spending on infrastructure I'm headed for heavy haul lol. At least there when the government puts speed governors on the truck I won't be as bothered because my permit will already have be creeping down the highway :)

Reduced earnings? Sure because rates crashed nation wide. Easy to blame Schneider for it being a shipper's market, but they didn't create it. It's a capacity issue.

Sni keeps perpetuating it by continuing to add to capacity during a down time.

If they cared about drivers earnings they would stop hiring so capacity wouldn't out grow demand.

I would say that pretty much goes for the industry... I've actually been told this by another trucking company which I laughed at them for it.... That they can't shut down their recruiting department when it's slow because it'll be impossible to get it started back up... That is the biggest farce I've ever seen in my life for these companies and I've seen a lot

They can't shut it down only because the recruiters would leave since they get paid by commission. Change that pay structure and I bet you not only could they shut it down if need be, but they wouldn't have to because the recruiters would be focused on quality not quantity. That would in turn translate into better drivers and quality drivers who take pride in what they do instead of demand a paycheck for breathing.
