All I know is I'm hearing alot of good things on Landstar van side. The guys that know how to run the right way and network are making more than us here. You can say no but I see the proof

That's where I got those numbers from.
I dont know if I remember 100% that's why I think "I think".
I dont know what the story is with your other questions. -

On a Landstar thread I just read someone is averaging $1.44

In January of 2016 my ICA told me in person choice IC made up 35% of Van System drivers up from 20% when I signed onto choice.
I also see it every day.
Do you work at SNI? -
If someone has it in with an agent to get the hot loads it is possible to do better, i dont doubt that. How realistic it is for the average person to obtain that connection and those high paying loads that dont hit the board though is the question.Cledus Snow Thanks this. -
It all comes down to are u happy with how your business is running?
SNI rates are low in a lot of places but they pay tolls..which is big where I live.
Factoring that in raises the rate..no other carrier I know of does that.
Just saying..rickybobby, RStewart, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Out west Schneider sucks!

There has been some retrenchment, but not much. Company drivers can still earn significant bonuses for referring inexperienced drivers. If we were looking to maintain the fleet size then we would be reducing referral and sign on bonuses for new drivers, dropping current drivers with issues, and look for ways to increase service/decrease costs - none of which we're doing.
The biggest example of SNI trying to maintain its capacity is we're hiring out of Alaska - where we do not operate.
We will not shut down the training department again. 2008-9 taught SNI to take a loner view. When the market jumped in late 2009 early 2010 Schneider was caught flat footed. Restarting the inexperienced hire orientation from square one was a nightmare that we still haven't recovered from. -
