So you're ok with a load that pays for 400 miles yet actually takes 475 miles to complete?
Same with empty miles..you book a load from where you just dropped and it's supposed to be 56 miles away and its actually 90..everything cool?

Look at it this way using the above example.
You book the load from the previous drop which states 56 miles..as soon as you click it you find it's actually 90 miles away.
SNI corrects for you..THEY KNOW exactly what they're doing..using the household movers guide a hold over from the 1950's.
Figure up the wasted miles and see how much you're losing.
I stopped doing this 20 months ago.
But of course this all moot..as we either do it or we don't.

People don't want help here they want confirmation that they're doing the right thing.
They want the green light and a nod from their peers.

I don't care..you guys that think you know it all can make it or not.
Doesn't effect me in anyway..I've made it here on Choice and that's the end of it.

All I know is im here because of convenience of hometime... That's all.. But there are other companies that are doing better than sni choice... Don't be naive to think there isn't.. And working alot less... @freightwipper what you do is basically ltl..you probably drop more trailers in a week then I do in a month..I don't like working like that but that's just me... I've tried that a few times in my 5 years here and the 1.70 isn't worth the headache... if you think the miles that aren't accounted for don't mean nothing you need to reevaluate your business.. Because true OO who have there authority are gonna get what they want down to the mile...if a load says loaded miles 300 @ 1.70 a mile then when you get there it's 350-360 @ 1.70 that's bad business...

Uh that doesn't happen to me because I don't run my operation solely using Schneider estimated miles.
I plug in the cities into google maps and adjust it to truck routes if need be.
So why would I care what Schneider miles say? I care about what my miles I figured says.

So basically for what you want you can accomplish it here.
In other words you can't be at Mercer or Landstar and be home as much and earn the same if not more correct?

I do all these short loads because longer loads here pay terrible and I can do great on the short ones.
If you can name the companies where all this money is at I'll look into it.
I haven't found them yet, of they exist.
Only way I can do better at Landstar/Mercer I found I can only do better than if I do flatbed but that aint happening. The difference in money aint worth the extra BS in flatbed for me.

lol there is no button but can you manually adjust the route and it'll update the miles.
I also do this to use satellite view so I see ahead of time exactly where the customers are and the truck entrances.
