Soooo you can't go through agents/brokerages outside of the Landstar system to get loads?

The best loads have to go on to a bco truck. Those good money load contacts have a no brokerage truck addendum written right into them. But you do bring up a very good point, and it's one of the reasons i chose mercer over landstar. At mercer the agents contract with mercer stipulate that every available mercer truck had to turn the load down before it can be brokered.

You can, but just like here at mercer there are quite a few stipulations and hoops ya gotta go through.

Once you get the routine down they aren't that bad, most loads i can tarp faster than you can do a drop and hook at a big warehouse, but i do get the occasional pain in the butt odd ball one. Here lately the only thing i have tarped is jet engines. They use an over head crane to drape them over then it's just hook the rope and go. But of course now that I've said something the next five loads will be open top crates.

And that's how it should be structured.

Well screw that! You're stuck with what they offer you just like at Schneider but at Landstarve having the bonus of having to go through agents for loads.

What do you mean by a "work in load"?

Right, and like I said the agents can either offer it to you for cheap or go elsewhere with it. Or load their own trucks first.

    freightwipper Thanks this.
