That's great, then why did you post available company positions? As if two months ago they were not hiring there. When I was in orientation they required a Florida company driver switching over to ic move to Texas before he was accepted.

And yes, I live in south Florida also, they were apprehensive to let me on also, but I am team, if I was solo I probably would've been denied. This is the only reason I answered your post. Congrats, I guess they are in full hiring force again.

Say it ain't so everyone in corporate says there's a hiring freeze, just ask your DBL.

It happens every few weeks, so just stand by for the next one.

That's an average of 1.40 a mile, all miles. My equipment is completely paid for and i couldn't possibly consider running for that and stay in business for long. The only way that rate makes any money is if it's running coast to coast 3500 miles week in and week out.

Depends on the business. I can do just fine on 1.40, but I keep my operating costs extremely low.

My equipment is paid for. Doesn't get much lower operating cost than that. And unless you are running over 3k miles a week you aren't making money on a 1.40 a mile. Unless of course you consider company driver wages to be making money. i didn't start a business to make the same money i could working for someone.

The thing to consider is that, like I said when I asked the question, I do not intend to run in and out of Florida frequently, but just want to know what it will be like to get home now and then.

    See the difference?
