Yes.. others have had their wife in there before to do the same thing.
I dunno anything about inverters besides they offer something and will install it if you pay for it (green bay).
Good luck
Make sure to get enough sleep before class, you'll need it.

Afterward, is it easy to route ourselves from Charlotte back to Houston profitably?

Dunno if there will be a load right back sending you back home right away.. plus that's a 1000 mile run and those rarely pay a lot. You'd probably be better of playing correct the dots over there.
Remember freight is always changing, you don't have to book right away.
Currently NC and SC loads to TX range between $1.35 to $1.50. None directly to Houston. However there's a lot of regional freight in Texas once you get there.
Just to give you an example there's 127 loads of 100+ miles long all within Texas up through Friday currently.
Loads to Houston are from Dallas, Temple, Wilmer, Lancaster, Carrollton, Laredo.. just to name a few. Those loads pay around from $1.75-$2.36
Hope that helps.Last edited: Jul 7, 2015

Speaking of tx, is it possible to run texas intrastate only and still make good money?
-
From what I've seen on the load board, yes..
I've known of drivers escaping the winter and just staying within Texas.
I might do that this winter because I'm tired of ice and snow storms.
What I say is simply looking at the load board and hearing what other drivers say, not from personal experience.
Drvrtech77 should know the finer details.saigontx95 Thanks this. -
yes it is... There are loads that stay with in Texas on this board that Pay $2 to $4 a mile...there are also loads from the dallas-fort Worth area To Oklahoma pay 2 to 4 dollars a mile...and you will have your load that Pay around a $1.75 a mile on quite a few loads and of course you got some real cheap loads too...saigontx95 and freightwipper Thank this.
