Haven't fixed anything fancy in awhile just bland stuff. The price of meat seems to have gone up. Haven't found any roasts on sale in a while.

With several hungry people ready to eat including myself, I forgot to take a picture of the pig before we started pulling the meat. This picture was taken after approximately 10 people had been fed. I figured this section could appreciate our twin turbo grill though.

 

This is why I refuse to eat truck stop food.
No offense...

 

Ohhh no offence at all this was awsome it's a small mom & pop place the pork chops were soooo tenders & mushroom gravy was fabulous

 

Went to the North Carolina State Fair today. We don't go every year... But sometimes you just get the itch.
It was a beautiful fall day. About 65-70 degrees.

We did it all from seeing garden displays, the 'biggest watermelon' and other fruits and veggies contests, the kids and cow dress up contest, the blacksmith, the rabbit show, the turkey shoot (my wife shot a gun for the very first time in her life. Now she wants lessons and her own shotgun! Lol), played a few games and just watched a few rides. Even listened to a little bluegrass...yes... This NJ Kid likes bluegrass!!
But all that aside... This thread is about food....
We started out... I guess for brunch, we had some deep fried Oreos...
For a late lunch, we had pork ribs, a Italian sausage and peppers sandwich and some onion rings...

As usual... The food was good... The smells, crowds and atmosphere made it special



It got progressively more crowded as the day went...it was nice to see so many kinds of people all enjoying themselves on a beautiful day in North Carolina
My feet are hurting... But it was worth it!! Picked up some funnel cake on the way to the car to top it all off

That's right... Walked 5 miles

 

I grew up in NC last time I went to the state fair was for a dairy cow judging contest that I was in with the FFA contest in high school.
